UNLV
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas ranks third in campus ethnic diversity of the nation’s campuses, creating diverse environments for class and research. For the past several years, UNLV has ranked one of most diverse universities in the nations. UNLV is also a Minority-Serving Institution (MSI) for Hispanic and AANAPISI, reducing barriers for academic success that disproportionately affect minority students.
Las Vegas
UNLV is located right off the Las Vegas Strip. The Strip has many sights and casinos that many tourists around the world come to experience many attractions and places such as the High Roller Ferris Wheel at the Linq, Fountain Show at the Bellagio, Ceasars Palace, Fashion Show Mall, and the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian. Downtown Las Vegas has the Freemont Experience where you can have a great experience walking around. You can also visit museums like the Neon Sign Museum and Mob Museum. Near UNLV is the Pinball Hall of Fame where you can play many vintage pinball machines.
Great experiences in Las Vegas are not only found in the heart of Las Vegas. There are great restaurants, spas, and golf courses found around the city. Red Rock Canyon is a large tourist attraction for hiking enthusiasts. Outside of Las Vegas are the Seven Magic Mountains and the Hoover Dam connected to Lake Mead.
